We all love a nice smelling bar of soap that is smooth and creamy and delicious looking, don't we? But do you know what goes into a soap, that we all use every day?
· When we talk of a commercially produced soap, it is important to know what has gone into making it. Commercial soap sold in stores is often made with chemical detergents, hardeners, and synthetic lathering agents.
· In most commercial soaps, the glycerin is extracted from the soap, which essentially leaves behind a very harsh drying bar, essentially a detergent. This extracted glycerin is then bottled and sold as a separate product. This is one of the reasons why commercially produced soaps are cheaper.
· Handmade soaps are rich in glycerin and made without any of the nasties mentioned above. Our handcrafted glycerin and cold processed soaps are made with very mild scenting agents, generally essential oils. Skin nourishing oils and butters in our soaps make them smooth and creamy without the use of harsh chemicals.
· Our handmade soaps are generally made in small batches, and a lot of attention to detail is given when it comes to the ingredients that go into the soaps. You may ask why small batches? Well, this helps in ensuring quality and freshness of the product. By making small batches, we can make improvements in our upcoming batches faster!
